  Occupation: Owns her own boutique called Beaux Coeurs, which sells her own clothing designs and makeup products. There are several Beaux Coeurs all around the world in different locations but Vanity’s favorite is the one located in New York City. • ‘Dolls’, basically women that Vanity has deformed so they can never be prettier than her. They must obey her or they will be killed, but they are charmed by Vanity to follow her command as well. Usually Vanity uses these slaves to protect herself, and has given them the title as her ‘Dolls’.

Vanity’s Darkside: 

• Vanity regularly uses her beauty to charm people in order to get what she desires such as money, gifts, access to secrets and locations, as well as fame and worshipping fans. 

• However, due to this misuse of her strong charming abilities, she was placed under a curse that made her hallucinate herself with botched cosmetic surgeries every once in awhile in reflections. 

• Vanity’s mother was a witch and her father was an incubus, due to this, the curse reacted maliciously and brought out untapped demonic potential, because Vanity’s genetics took on more of her mother’s side, with her demonic blood aiding in her charming abilities as a witch.

• This curse manifested into a darkness within Vanity. Whenever Vanity becomes insecure for any reason, her darkness is brought out in the form of her untapped demonic abilities. Vanity’s body isn’t compatible with the demonic abilities being brought out, so her darkness literally consumes her and her body begins to be plagued with a tar-like black substance that spreads from her left eye to the rest of her body. If she is entirely consumed by her darkness, she will be lost forever in her own mental psyche. 

• As Vanity is being consumed by her own darkness, her personality changes completely and she grows demonic horns. She becomes much more violent and stronger, turning into a monster that desires to only kill. Depending on what brought it out, she will act upon whatever made her insecure. For an example, if Vanity feels competitive with another female that is very attractive, and then her curse acts up as well, showing a hallucination of her body with her past cosmetic surgeries botched in mirror reflections, she will then become insecure and her darkness will consume her, changing her into a monster. Her only goal would be to kill the female who started it all, or to cut and ruin the poor girl’s face and figure so that she can no longer be beautiful.

 Backstory: 

• Vanity was conceived with her twin sister Kylie to a powerful witch named Celeste who dumped them both into a city that was a safe haven for witches, and governed by a council of witches that ruled over all witches in the country in the early 1900s. The goal of the council was to protect witches at all cost and prevent the exposure of witches to humans. 

• When Vanity turned 18, she became extremely vain and obsessed with her appearance. She would get cosmetic surgeries to perfect her body, and design her own clothing to suit her taste and style. Vanity soon had one goal in mind; to be the most beautiful woman in the world. She first started with her own boutique and some modelling, however, she wanted more. Vanity is a charming witch, which meant her witchcraft enables her to use her own beauty to charm people. Vanity could charm people into having crushes on her, being obsessed with her, also to make them desire to be like Vanity, as well as to make them susceptible to giving her what she desires.

• With this kind of power, Vanity began to misuse her abilities to get whatever she desired to become successful in her endeavors. The council eventually found out about this and decided to punish Vanity in the form of a curse that would make her hallucinate seeing all of her past cosmetic surgeries as botched and ugly in mirror reflections every time she misused her abilities for personal gain. However, this curse was only meant to teach her a lesson and make her less vain and insecure, but due to her half-succubus bloodline, it manifested into something malicious and evil that could consume her with darkness and possess her to become a demonic monster. Vanity abandoned the city of witches after this and went to live on in the human world wishing to overcome her curse but has failed to do so, killing many men and women throughout the years. Vanity stopped aging at 20 years old due to the corrupt curse, and has lived on continuously trying to achieve her goal as the most beautiful woman in the world, killing any competition in her way.

Vanity's beauty combined with her aura of being a witch work together to influence the mind of a victim. The victim will begin to like Vanity and be more susceptible to doing whatever she wants. Often times a victim will romantically have a crush on Vanity, have extreme admiration for Vanity and desire to be like her, or will just like her for no reason. In extreme cases Vanity can control the minds of victims with charm, however, this is risky and could kill Vanity after prolonged use so it is not normally done.)

   FACTS/TRIVIA

~Vanity is infected with the idea of being the most beautiful girl alive, and addicted to modifying herself to look like a Barbie doll so she can be “perfect”

~The name of Vanity’s store, Beaux Coeurs is French for Beautiful Hearts. Ironically, sometimes when she is consumed by her curse and becomes a demonic being, she will rip out hearts to kill whoever brought on her curse.

~Vanity’s curse passively makes Vanity hallucinate her past cosmetic surgeries as botched in mirror reflections if she misuses her charming ability. However, the curse’s active ability can consume her with her own insecurities and darkness to bring out her untapped demonic potential and transform her into a monster since her body is not compatible with the demonic abilties.

~Vanity has gotten multiple cosmetic surgeries to feed her obsession with looking “perfect”. Her surgeries include breast augmentation, removal of ribs, lip injections, nose job, etc.

~Vanity is pretty much the Barbie of horror-genre world.

~Vanity designs and makes her own outfits and clothing since she believes that only her designed clothes are the only clothing that is fashionable and beautiful enough for herself. She also makes her own makeup and sells her fashion designs and cosmetics as a way to recreate the world in her image since people will be wearing what she designs.

~The more cosmetic surgeries Vanity gets, the more deformed she looks when her curse makes her hallucinate.

~ Often times, when Vanity is consumed by her curse, she will kidnap extremely gorgeous females and inspired from her obsession of cosmetic surgery, she disfigures their appearance, whether it’s on their face or their body or even both so they can never be prettier than Vanity.  Once the victims wake up, Vanity has stitched their body up, or face, and she threatens to kill them if they don't obey her. However, she also uses a bit of her charming ability which can sway people to be compelled to do as she says, resulting in Vanity gaining her own slaves. Usually these 'slaves' die off within months because of infection from Vanity’s surgery and she treats them poorly. Other times, she just kills them to show any other slaves what she is capable of doing. How it works is she gives these slaves masks that are pretty and doll-like, and cuts off the tongues of slaves who disobey her, and gives a blonde wig to slaves so that these slaves can be pretty like Vanity (due to Vanity’s narcissistic complex of believing she is the most beautiful so her slaves can be a little bit beautiful if they look like her). The slaves also have masks and wigs so they won't cause too much attention because they sometimes follow her around and protect her since they obey her and do her bidding. If they don’t obey her, Vanity instantly kills them, Vanity refers to these slaves as her “Dolls”, because they are like her own dolls she can control and dress up to her liking.

~Vanity demonstrates how beauty standards are too high, and to achieve these ideals of ‘beauty’, the very manifestation of beauty is corrupt and misconstrued. Vanity represents how beauty can become corrupt due to obsession, and turn one’s self into a monster.

~If this wasn’t realized before, Vanity has worked hard to get her appearance just perfect through cosmetic surgeries, makeup, hair products, and fashion (such as clothes, shoes, and accessories) she is very vain over her appearance, obviously why her name is Vanity. She is only can become insecure if someone points out a flaw, and Vanity will fix the flaw through extreme measures and go back to being vain.
